Comfort food is different for everyone. It can be leftover stew or curry that you take from the fridge, reheat in the microwave and eat on the couch in your pyjamas. It can be soup that warms you up, a nourishing salad or food prepared by a loved one, comforting because it is familiar and served with affection. Or it could be something luxurious like a chocolate souffle served in the ambience of a French restaurant; a masterpiece of rising perfection captured in a ramekin just for you…
Like comfort food, essential for the maintenance of the soul, Souffle is my place for nourishing the inner writer.
My desire to write surfaced two years ago during a time of turbulence. A midlife crisis you may call it. Recovering balance, I’m now happy in my own skin. My early writings can be found at my old blog, epossums.
